Trandence

Lightspeed

Lightspeed provides detailed execution reports through its Lightspeed Trader desktop platform. To get the most accurate import into Trandence, export your trade data directly from the desktop application.

Exporting from Lightspeed Trader

  1. Open the Lightspeed Trader desktop application and log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Account section or the Trade History window.
  3. Set the desired Date Range for the trades you want to export.
  4. Ensure all relevant columns are visible (Account Number, Side, Symbol, Price, Qty, Commission Amount, Execution Time, etc.).
  5. Click the Export or Save button to download the file as a .csv to your computer.

Import To Trandence

  1. Open Trandence and go to the Trades page.
  2. Click Import Trades and select Upload CSV/TXT.
  3. Choose Lightspeed as the broker.
  4. Set CSV Timezone to the timezone used by the broker export. For most US equities workflows, this is America/New_York.
  5. Optionally apply an import preset if you use saved defaults for this account.
  6. Select or drop the exported CSV file.
  7. Review the parsed trades before saving. Confirm symbols, side, open/close times, quantity, prices, commissions, and the session date range.
  8. Use Batch Tags to label the import, for example LS Main or Lightspeed Cash.
  9. Click Import & Review Summary to save the import and open the post-import summary.

For the full import workflow, including presets, preview validation, multi-session progress, and conflict review, see Importing Trades.

What Trandence Reads

Trandence reads the trade blotter: Trade Date, Raw Exec. Time (or Execution Time), Buy/Sell, Symbol, Security Type, Qty, Principal Amount and NET Amount. Use the blotter rather than a summary export.

  • Sides come from Buy/Sell: Long Buy, Long Sell, Short Sale, Buy to Cover, and for options Buy to Open, Sell to Close, Sell to Open and Buy to Close.
  • Stock and index options (Security Type put or call): the contract is read from Symbol, for example TSLA 20210716P680.000 (TSLA, 16 Jul 2021, 680 put). Qty is the number of contracts; the trade is filed under the underlying and priced at 100 shares per contract.
  • Fees: Lightspeed spreads them over Commission Amount and several fee columns (SEC, TAF and others). Trandence takes their total from the difference between NET Amount and Principal Amount, so every fee is counted.
  • Prices are taken from Principal Amount, which is exact; the Price column is rounded to four decimals. With both, imported trades add up to the cash Lightspeed moved.

The blotter lists trades, not expirations, assignments or exercises. An option that expired or was assigned stays open after its expiry date, and Trandence lists it under Expired options to resolve on the Trades page, where you choose what happened.

Trandence keeps supported US equity symbols, including common share-class formats such as BRK.A and BRK.B, and organizes the imported executions into completed trades for review.

Conflict Handling

If imported rows overlap with trades already in Trandence, use Review Conflicts to compare them before saving. The safest default is Keep Existing, which preserves the trade already in your account.

If you need to replace existing data, delete or correct the existing trades first, then import the file again intentionally. You can review completed imports from Import History.
